Priorities and Promises

My priorities reflect my commitment to Orange County residents in general and to the myriad students NOCCCD serves.

Fulfill a trustee's fundamental responsibility of protecting the public interest with decisions in the best interests of the public and of all NOCCCD.
Meet student educational needs, evaluating every decision as it contributes to student success and focusing on factual evidence of that.
Maintain NOCCCD's financial health with prudent, conservative, responsible budgeting decisions, taking into account both short-term and long-term needs and priorities.

I promise never to sacrifice the public's interest to gain favor with one special interest group.
I promise to be diligent in insisting on accountability, openness, and effectiveness, asking hard questions when necessary.
I promise to continue supporting the open enrollment vision of community colleges to serve all parts of our community.
